CVI2’s 2005 SERVICE SUMMARY
Community Vision International’s 30
contracting visionaries pursued their passions to see needy world
communities transformed.
In 22 countries via 59 projects, we
directly benefited over 11,200 people and 455 organizations, and
prepared over 120 service tools. Most work was done in difficult,
cross-cultural, needy, neglected, struggling, underprivileged and
unreached communities. Consulting via the Internet guided many more
workers in more nations. Total costs amounted to $223,700.
Each year, we discover more service
outcomes. The visionaries tell amazing stories, far too many to write
here. In short, we see youth being shaped, strategic opportunities
seized, training expanding, agencies networked and coordinated,
non-profits launched, difficult places penetrated, neglected niches
confronted, workers and congregations multiplying, the lost found,
partners increasing, and suffering endured.
To describe last year’s activities, one
visionary, who coached, mentored or trained over 2500 persons, recently
wrote: “I gave workshops in so many places that it is now a blur…I did
not travel to all the countries I served; I mentor people
almost daily by e-mail in a broad spectrum of fields.” Our
collective activities are summarized below.
